Rick works as a hydrologist with USGS Washington Water Science Center in Tacoma, serving as a staff scientist, groundwater technical specialist, and Associate Director. He has a BS in Watershed Science from Colorado State University and a MS in Forest Hydrology from Pennsylvania State University. Over the past 30+ years, he has conducted many hydrologic investigations in the Pacific Northwest addressing rainfall-runoff processes, groundwater resources, and water quality and availability. He manages a team of about 35 scientists and technicians at the Water Science Center and is a Licensed Geologist and Hydrogeologist in the State of Washington.
