Dr. Lisa Ely is a Professor in the Department of Geological Sciences at Central Washington University, where she has been since 1994. She received her BS in Geology and Biology and a MS and PhD in Geosciences from the University of Arizona. From 1992-94 she was an NSF Post-doctoral Fellow in the Earth System Science Center at Pennsylvania State University.  Her interests include fluvial geomorphology, quaternary geology, paleoclimatology, tsunamis, and catastrophic events of all sorts.
