Community Engaged Research Opportunities

October 17, 2023 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am

Sponsored by the Office of Research Advancement and Partnerships

A thriving research ecosystem that includes a commitment to, and support for, robust community-engaged research is central to WSU’s land grant mission. Community-engaged research values multiple, diverse, sets of knowledge and holds as its basic tenant that community needs, values, and objectives drive every part of the research lifecycle—from the conception of research questions, to the design of research methodologies, to determining the range of outputs and measures for and evaluations of impacts. Community-engaged research amplifies the benefits of translational research by promoting the shared creation of knowledge, through sustainable, respectful, and mutually beneficial relationships. This roundtable discussion will include panelists from across disciplines to  describe various types of community engaged research practices, values, methodologies and results. The session will end with a special announcement about future CER funding opportunities at WSU Pullman.
